We are currently seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Direct Support Professional plays a crucial role in assisting individuals with various intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.
Responsibilities:
Assist individuals with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
Support and encourage skill development in areas like communication, mobility, and self-care.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement medical and therapy plans.
Plan and engage individuals in recreational and social activities to foster community integration.
Administer medication and maintain accurate records as required.
Provide emotional support, active listening, and companionship.
Promote independence by teaching life skills and fostering decision-making abilities.
Ensure safety by identifying potential risks and taking preventive measures.
Maintain a clean and organized living environment.
Document daily activities, progress, and any incidents as needed.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
Full-time position with a 2:
30pm-11:
00pm (Days will vary) schedule.
Hourly rate - $13.
70 hour.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (some positions might require additional certifications).
Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors.
Basic understanding of medical and emergency procedures.
Organizational skills for maintaining accurate records.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
